There will be a total of six performances for schoolchildren, held at Taidetehdas in Porvoo and Rytmikorjaamo in Sein\u00e4joki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What can a harp do as a solo instrument, or as part of a quartet? And what happens when it accompanies Paleface\u2019s rap? Avanti\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Paleface &amp; Harps<\/strong>&nbsp;concert explores these questions. In the first half of the concert, four harps, led by P\u00e4ivi Severeide, create a magical, even cinematic soundscape, both individually and together. Several works have been composed for this rare combination, including music by award-winning composer and harpist Laura Hynninen, known for her rhythmic and colourful harp works. The programme also features several works for harp and electronics, including Kaija Saariaho\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Fall<\/em>, which brings a historical perspective to the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the second half, rapper Paleface takes over the stage. His music has been arranged for harps, double bass and a small drum kit.
