Closing concert: shadows and games

About the concert

The 40-year-old Suvisoitto will end with a concert featuring a familiar tune from the beginning of the festival.
Conductor John Storgårds will lead a concert featuring Swedish composer Andrea Tarrod’s Birds of Paradise, Maurice Ravel’s Tombeau de Couper, dedicated to his friends who died in the First World War, Witold Lutoslawski’s Jeux vénitiens, and the closing Sebastian Fagerlund Clarinet Concerto, which was also premiered at the 2006 Korsholm Music Festival by Christoffer Sundqvist and John Storgårds.
At the closing concert, the artistic director of Suvisoito 2026 will be announced.
