About the concert
Avant’s afternoon concert will feature Sebastian Fagerlund’s Octet “Autumn Equinox” and excerpts from Franz Schubert’s Octet in F major D. 803.
The concert will be a foretaste of the Avant Summer Music Festival in Porvoo in June, with Sebastian Fagerlund as artistic director this year. The concert programme will feature a musical dialogue between octets by composers from two different eras. After all, Fagerlund composed his octet to accompany Schubert’s octet.
