AVANTI! PRESENTED BY: PALEFACE AND HARPS

The concert, designed by harpist Päivi Severeide, offers answers to the questions: what does the harp do as a solo, and what does it do as a quartet? What about as an accompaniment to Paleface’s raps?

The classical programme features the latest in new harp music, featuring the works of Emma Award-nominated harpist Laura Hynninen from Porvoo, as well as iconic harp solos, not forgetting Kaija Saariaho. Laura Hynninen, Hilda Kunnola, Maaria Pulakka and Päivi Severeide are the harpists.

In the second half of the concert, Paleface and the harpists will play some rap with the help of drummer Jaska Lukkarinen and double bassist Ville Herrala.
